Philip Heymann, former Harvard Law professor and US deputy attorney general, dies at 89

A longtime Harvard Law School professor who encouraged and mentored scores of students who pursued public service careers, Philip Heymann died Tuesday in hospice care at his Los Angeles home, a few days after a major stroke.
